Heavy Duty Mechanic 
Local excavation company seeking motivated people to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose, and repair heavy duty trucks and excavation equipment. We are a drug free work place.
Pay is dependent on experience
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform inspections, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on trucks and excavation equipment
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
  • Perform all job duties as provided by shift supervisor
  • Complete all required paperwork required for job tasks completed
  • Provide proper documentation of defects to supervisor and advise the severity of the defects
  • Complete DOT annual inspections as needed
  • Repair any minor defects that are found such as lights, tires, etc.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with company/ OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedure

Qualifications and Skills
  • Required education: High school or equivalent
  • 1 year of relevant work experience preferred
  • Able to drive a company vehicle in a safe manner
  • Keep a clean work environment
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs. throughout the day
  • Professional appearance
  • Able to work independently with minimal oversight

Schedule
  • 2nd shift- 2 P.M.-10 P.M.
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime opportunities and pay
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
