Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform inspections, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on trucks and excavation equipment
- Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs
- Perform all job duties as provided by shift supervisor
- Complete all required paperwork required for job tasks completed
- Provide proper documentation of defects to supervisor and advise the severity of the defects
- Complete DOT annual inspections as needed
- Repair any minor defects that are found such as lights, tires, etc.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with company/ OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedure
Qualifications and Skills
- Required education: High school or equivalent
- 1 year of relevant work experience preferred
- Able to drive a company vehicle in a safe manner
- Keep a clean work environment
- Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs. throughout the day
- Professional appearance
- Able to work independently with minimal oversight
Schedule
- 2nd shift- 2 P.M.-10 P.M.
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime opportunities and pay
